The launch of the all-new Daily van and cab chassis range is well-timed to take advantage of the strong sales performance of the New Zealand light commercial vehicle segment. With this new addition, the Iveco commercial vehicle range is now the strongest the brand has ever had in New Zealand, with few others being able to match Iveco’s product breadth.

Iveco Australasia Managing Director, Michael Jonson, said the latest Daily range had all the necessary attributes to make an impact in the New Zealand market.
“With industry-first technologies, such as the 8-speed automatic transmission, and many class-leading benefits, the New Daily has all the credentials to make a positive impact in the market,” Mr Jonson said.
“The latest range has been widely accepted in Europe and across other global markets and we’re confident that New Zealand buyers will also recognise the many benefits and efficiencies the new Daily provides.
“The New Daily also comes highly awarded including winning the ‘International Van of the Year 2015’ accolade. It’s true that the New Zealand van market is extremely competitive with many astute brands, but it’s our opinion that the new Daily has a clear edge.”
With such an outstanding new range, Iveco is well placed to benefit from the burgeoning light-weight segment (3.3-4.5T), which this year is up 20% YTD over 2014. This market is well on its way to reaching over 2,000 units this year with nearly 1,800 registered YTD.
Mr Jonson added, “Iveco is one of very few commercial vehicle brands offering a broad scope of trucks ranging from car-licence vans and cab chassis, through to genuine 600 horsepower road train models.”
“The all-new Daily range complements the heavily enhanced ACCO models that were released in late 2014 as well as the revised Stralis featuring the new Cursor Series II engine with a 1 million KM warranty.
“Elsewhere in the product line-up, the medium duty Eurocargo is a true trail-blazer in its segment and boasts the best fuel mileage of any competitive vehicle in the market. It relies on the highest levels of innovation to deliver a first-rate performance and optimised fuel-efficiency. And, very importantly for our New Zealand customers, the latest version of the Powerstar range has been designed, engineered and built in Australia with New Zealand’s unique operating conditions in mind. The total product offering is impressive.
“We’re energised and looking forward to further increasing our standing in the market in 2016 and beyond.”
